A non-action story that links to "Vivian's Diamonds." Madison had told her boyfriend Connor that she would wait for God to speak to him about marriage. Now approaching her 31st birthday, she's getting ansty and would like to bring the subject up, but wonders if she's trusting God if she does.

This short story won second place in "Lynkin's Prompt Contest" on Writing.com, and was also published by Universal Personality online magazine for writers, in issue #10, December 26th 2003.

At an exclusive San Francisco art gallery gala, David is dumbstruck by a Chinese woman who stands out from a crowd of lavishly-gowned women. But even as circumstances prevent him from introducing himself, he starts to learn more about his mystery woman by observing her interactions with the other guests. For him, it's love at first sight and he hasn't yet spoken a word to her.
